What’s New With Lookout: Simplifying SSE

Organizations continue to endure the challenges that come along with the rapid migration to the cloud, like securing and managing data that is now spread across multiple networks, clouds, and apps. Outdated technologies have led to disjointed, hard-to-manage solutions that struggle to keep up with evolving security threats. But fear not! Lookout is here to help.

We are excited to announce the latest product release to the Lookout Cloud Security Platform, which builds upon the launch of our mid-market SSE offering earlier this year. We’ve added more capabilities to simplify cloud security operations and relieve the management burden from administrators. Most notably, this release provides additional operational enhancements that improve performance, enrich partner integrations, and further simplify deployment.

Improved operational performance

We continue to make investments to improve operational performance and keep latency low. New web proxy performance enhancements were implemented that can reduce page load times for websites by up to 40%, providing faster access to information and an improved user experience.

We have also expanded our platform to include new locations in Canada. This ensures data sovereignty compliance and reduces onboarding time for Canada-based organizations and users. With a modern architecture setup and partnerships with leading public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, Lookout is always ready to quickly operationalize new points of presence (PoPs) to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Enriched partner integrations

We understand how important it is that our SSE platform integrates seamlessly with a wide range of devices, systems, and applications. That’s why we continue to improve interoperability with our partners. Customers can now enable data loss prevention (DLP) scanning in Confluence to allow teams to collaborate securely by scanning internal and publicly shared pages, comments, and custom content.

Additionally, the Lookout single sign-on (SSO) app is now available on the Ping Identity App Catalog, making it easier for customers who use Ping Identity to set up SSO integrations for Proxy Authentication, Management Console Authentication, and the Lookout Client. Lookout already provides easy SSO integration with Okta and Azure.

Simplified deployment

Lookout SSE customers already benefit from a guided deployment process that creates quick time-to-value by onboarding the solution in as little as 60 minutes. New updates to the onboarding process continue to support Lookout’s vision of providing a simple and easy-to-manage SSE solution.

Our enterprise app discovery feature helps organizations discover and onboard all private apps, making it easy for IT security teams to see all private apps being accessed by their users and define and enforce access and data protection policies. New updates to this feature now provide greater flexibility in app suppression, allowing for a refined and actionable list of discovered apps to further support the transition from VPN to ZTNA.

And a new just-in-time user provisioning feature enables users to authenticate successfully with the Lookout client while the directory sync is underway, eliminating the need for administrators to wait for the sync to finish. The end result of these improvements? Less time spent onboarding and more time to focus on priorities.

Enterprise app discovery: View all apps in your organization that are accessed by your users.
