Missy Ballew
Missy Ballew is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Lookout, a data-centric cloud security company that delivers zero trust security by reducing risk and protecting data without boundaries or limits. Missy has global responsibility for all aspects of Lookout’s human resources function, including HR operations, mergers & acquisitions, organization effectiveness, total rewards, recruiting, talent development, internal communications, and culture and engagement.
Prior to joining Lookout in 2016, Missy was the Global Head of Talent, Learning & Diversity at HP where she was responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s performance management, talent & succession planning, learning & development, and diversity, equity and inclusion strategy. During her five years with HP, Missy also ran HR for the global Security and Personal Systems businesses and led all HR processes involved in standing up HP Inc. as a separate company following the separation from Hewlett-Packard.
Missy joined HP in 2011 from Hewitt Associates (acquired by Aon), the world’s largest provider of human resources consulting services. As a senior consultant in the Talent Management & HR Effectiveness practice, she partnered with companies across industries and geographies to develop and deliver strategic HR solutions. She also leveraged her fluency in Spanish to build talent management capabilities in the Latin America region.
Missy holds a Master’s degree in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish from Louisiana State University where she received an athletic scholarship to play golf for the Tigers.
Missy is based in San Francisco, California.
